FunnyOrDie - Will Ferrell is the front man for this all comedy video site, and has made numerous videos for it, including the infamous The Landlord. More celebs have jumped on to the site such as John C. Reilly, Fergie, Bill Murray and more.

IBeatYou - Is a social network built around the idea of challenging your friends and strangers alike to competitions like “best celebrity photo” and more. The site is co-founded by Baron Davis of the Golden State Warriors, and one of the sites most active users is Jessica Alba, star of the Fantastic Four movies and Dark Angel television series. Icon Madonna - A social network just for the fans of Madge. Offers both free and paid versions with the subscription model offering extra benefits in the ways of downloads, early ticket offers and more.

KyieKonnect - Kylie Minogue has a following in the United States, but everywhere else in the world, she is a household name. KylieKonnect is a social network for her fans that gives them exclusive content, a store to shop in and the ability to create profiles.

MTDN.com - Make The Difference Network was founded by Jessica Biel and her father not to promote Ms. Biels work, but to help non-profits charities reach a broader audience. 100% of the funds collected go to the charities, and it is free for them to use. ShredOrDie - From the same people as FunnyOrDie, this site has world famous skateboarder Tony Hawk as its front man with other well-known extreme athletes contributing their own videos. Besides skateboarding, they also feature surfing, BMX, snow and more. Mashable covered ShredOrDie at the time of its launch in October 2007.

SkiSpace - A social network fronted by American skier Bode Miller, the site is dedicated to all things related to skiing and snowboarding, with profiles for members and weather reports on various resorts. Be sure to check out Kristen Nicoles thoughts on SkiSpace for a more in-depth review.

UPumpItUp - A social site from Kraft Foods with Mandy Moore front and center to challenge women with setting goals in the hopes of reaching new levels in their lives. Kirsten Nicole did a full write up on UPumpItUp when it launched.

UVNTV.com - Ice Cube Ice Cube and DJ Pooh bring you a home for online video that allows you to connect with new friends, find people to work on videos with and keeps you up on all the latest entertainment news.

YFly.com - Weve been talking about YFly since 2006, and it keeps chugging on. A social network co-founded by Nick Lachey and billing itself as a safer home for teenagers on the web, and boasting over 400 official profiles from celebrities such as Timbaland, Rihanna, Marilyn Manson and more.

Voices.com has released its API for its search tools, which developers can use within their own service for presenting end users with access to artists available to do voice over work. There will also be a Web Developers Program so that more applications can be built around Voices’ content and services. With this API and Developer Program offering, Voices.com is looking to broaden access to its artist database, an in turn expand the marketing potential for the artists that use its site.

So far, Voices.com is reporting over 20,000 voice actors in its database, all of which are able to work. Some are even available to work within a matter of hours. What I find particularly interesting about marketplaces like Voices.com is their catalyzing of a shift that’s making it easier for individuals around the world to better carve out their own careers.

In offering an API, will Voices.com encourage others to include access to this niche marketplace as a part of their own larger service? While Guru has been a staple in this sort of web-based outsourcing, we’re seeing a number of niche sites providing dedicated marketplaces and social networks, from handymen to graphic designers. Voices.com doesn’t have much in the way of community features, and I think that the social networking aspects will become just as important as the marketplaces themselves for Voices.com and similar niche sites.

Want to search 100 video sites fast? VideoFetcher is a nifty piece of kit. We received word about the service earlier this weekend, and having given it a brief test run, we can confidently say this thing will come in handy for quite a few rabid video consumers. Particularly those who may wish to search for video from a single engine but view desired results at the source.

It’s simple as can be. Visit the site’s home page and you’re presented with a logo and a search field in a basic white box with blue all around. Enter your query. Then click ‘fetch.’ By default you’re taken to YouTube, with all other available sites listed in a column to the left. If you wish to see what MySpace, Blip.tv, Brightcove, Photobucket, Viddler, or 90+ other sites have to show for your keyword, they’re available with a single click as well. That easy.

YouTube will let you sell your own ads.

Now, this is a good reason to experiment in overlays. youtube advertising is going to take into new realms because while they have been testing overlays and advertising for brands and premium channels. how you sell ads on other uploaders material? . letting you sell your own ads. that is probably going to be the video version of adsense. a good article on all this and the reasoning behind it at the link.

MySpaceTV: Now With RSS

Call it a small victory in the effort to make RSS more mainstream: MySpaceTV has implemented RSS feeds for all of its charts and channels. This means that if you want to get updates on popular videos about animals, or the top rated videos about “weird stuff,” you can now do so in your RSS reader of choice.

Its a pretty simple implementation that still implies that a user knows what the orange RSS icon means, and something that MySpaceTVs biggest competitor YouTube has had available for some time. What would be nice to see are the “add to Google Reader,” “add to Bloglines,” type links that are ever-present on blogs, where its at least a bit more obvious as to what the purpose of RSS might be.

Qloud Launches Popular ‘My Music App on MySpace

Qloud, the music service created by Steve Case that combines search features with sharing and networking, announced today that its My Music application will be available on MySpace.

The application, which is popular on Facebook, Friendster, Hi5 and Bebo, allows you to import and play entire songs and videos from your iTunes library for free. Qloud categorizes songs by recently played, most played, top artists, playlist and top rated.

With the iTunes plugin you can also play music from your friends libraries, trade playlists, search for music from their friends, and add new songs to your own library.

Qloud was recently acquired by Buzznet, and is backed by various high profile music industry veterans like Chris Blackwell (Island Records), Paul Vidich (Warner Music), and Tom Ryan (EMI). Thanks to MySpaces new Developer Platform, Qloud was able to quickly build and distribute the My Music app.

The public beta of the MySpace Application Gallery was launched in March and allows members to discover and add new applications from different categories.

The neat part about My Music is not only that you can share all your music on iTunes, but that it automatically creates a starter library for you as soon as you install the app, based on the artists you have listed in your profile.

For those who dont have iTunes, the My Music application has its own library of over 6 million songs that they can search, listen, and add to their own library.

Although its a bit disheartening to see yet another application arrive to MySpace to add to the clutter that is making the social network — in my opinion — distasteful, My Music is a good fit for the site. MySpace is well-known for harboring thousands of music fans and artists, and giving them the ability to share music from their extensive iTunes library will only add to their enthusiasm for the site.

Judge: Apologize On YouTube, You Silly Kids

Heres a form of punishment I havent heard of before: USA Today reports that a judge ruled that two boys, whose YouTube prank ended up with battery and criminal mischief charges, must apologize for their deed - on YouTube.

The video in question has become known as “fire in the hole,” depicting kids throwing cup full of soda at a drive-in fast food worker, then yelling the aforementioned sentence and running away. Doesnt sound too funny to me, but the kids decided that posting the video of the incident on YouTube might be a good idea.

It wasnt. Today they must post another video on YouTube, in which they have to apologize for what theyve done. They were also sentenced to 100 hours each of community service, they have to pay a $30 cleaning fee to the restaurant, and write letters of apology. The YouTube part of the punishment may sound a bit weird, but Im quite sure itll stop the little rascals from hurling sodas at people (and filming it) - at least for a while.

Amazingly, the video in question is still up on YouTube, you can see it below. It ends with a (grammatically incorrect) promise “Ive got much more clips to come.” They got that one right.
